Tesla：AMD 前 CPU 架構大師 Jim Keller 加入團隊

在離開 AMD 之後，Jim Keller 有了新的落腳處。

不是 Intel，不是 NVIDIA，更不是回歸到 Apple，AMD 前 CPU 團隊負責人 Jim Keller 稍早確定落腳 Tesla。

Jim Keller is joining Tesla as Vice President of Autopilot Hardware Engineering. Jim will bring together the best internal and external hardware technologies to develop the safest, most advanced autopilot systems in the world.

Jim Keller 會在 Tesla 擔任副總裁一職，主要負責自動駕駛的硬體工程。

在離開 AMD 前，Jim Keller 主要負責 Zen 處理器架構；一般相信，AMD 會在 2016 年底前公佈 Zen 架構處理器，而在它之前，將會是 Polaris 的 Radeon GPU。

Jim Keller 也曾在 Apple 任職，他當時主要是負責 Apple 的 A4 以及 A5 處理器。

加入 Apple 前，Jim Keller 在 AMD 負責 Athlon K7 以及 K8 處理器架構，一直到 1999 年離開。

相信 Tesla 將 Jim Keller 納入旗下，可能是想要自行開發自動駕駛的相關硬體配置，不過目前沒有太多資訊確認。除了 Tesla 外，Intel、NVIDIA 以及 Apple 也在汽車領域，特別是自動駕駛部分投入相當大的人力。
