不管是正式版、BETA 版本，只要在你家官網，就必須提供該有的保固！
ASUS 的 AM5 主機板 SoC Voltage 風波延燒不斷，在 Gamers Nexus 與 JayZtwocents 的加持下，已經引發 ASUS 高層的重度關切。
事件延燒數日後，官方終於在 5 月 16 日釋出聲明，針對近期 BETA BIOS 沒有保固的風波進行說明。
We want to address the concerns that have been raised by our users about whether recent BIOS updates will impact the warranty of ASUS AM5 motherboards. We would like to reassure our customers that both beta and fully validated BIOS updates for ASUS AM5 motherboards are covered by the original manufacturer’s warranty. We would also like to confirm the following points:
– The ASUS AM5 motherboard warranty also covers all AMD EXPO, Intel XMP, and DOCP memory configurations.
– All recent BIOS updates follow the latest AMD voltage guidelines for AMD Ryzen™ 7000 series processors.Furthermore, we would like to reiterate our commitment to supporting the AMD AM5 platform and our customers. For any further inquiries about your ASUS AM5 motherboard, please contact our customer service for support. Thank you for choosing ASUS.
ASUS 在最新的說明中提到，無論是 BETA 版本或者是正式版本的 BIOS，ASUS 主機板使用者都可以獲得該有的保固，並不會因為使用 BETA BIOS 造成主機板損毀而喪失保固。另一方面，全部 AM5 主機板的最新 BIOS 都符合 AMD 針對 Ryzen 7000 系列處理器所制定的電壓規範，也就是 SoC Voltage 限制在 1.3V。
整起事件起因在於 ASUS AM5 主機板的 SoC Voltage 初始設定高於其他家，有發現在 1.4xV 以上，因此造成主機板與處理器發生多起燒毀案例。
爾後，AMD 釋出正式聲明，並通知各主機板廠，需要將 SoC Voltage 設定在 1.3V，同時也釋出 Agesa 1.0.0.7a 讓各主機板廠提供新版本的 BIOS 讓 AM5 主機板使用者進行更新。
然而，ASUS 在最新 2 版本的 BETA BIOS 中釋出聲明告知若使用 BETA BIOS 造成損毀將不獲得保固，進而造成此事件的發生。後續文字已經在 5 月 14 日移除，但傷害顯然已經造成… 畢竟，官方網站釋出的 BIOS 造成使用者出現問題，官方竟然不願意提供保固，也只有「天才」才能想到這種方式來避險吧。
無論如何，在最新的聲明中已經確認，不論是正式版本或著是 BETA BIOS，只要出問題 ASUS 依舊會提供保固，只是這件事情還會再持續延燒一陣子。
