Intel 推出支援 DisplayPort 1.4 的 Thunderbolt 3 晶片。
8 代 Core 的 G 系列處理器公佈後，Intel Thunderbolt 3 晶片也跟著更新；過去是 Alpine Ridge 的 JHL6x40 系列，現在是 Titan Ridge 的 JHL7x40 系列產品。
代號 Titan Ridge 的 Thunderbolt 3 晶片目前會有 JHL7540、JHL7440 與 JHL7340，其中 JHL7440 屬於周邊裝置設備所使用。基本上 JHL7x40 與過去的 JHL6x40 一樣提供 40Gbps 的傳輸頻寬，但代號 Titan Ridge 的 JHL7x40 Thunderbolt 3 晶片則是加入 DisplayPort 1.4 的支援。
JHL7540、JHL7340 針對主機板、筆電：
– 40Gbps 與 PCIe Gen3；
– 支援 DisplayPort 1.4；– JHL7440 針對周邊裝置製造商：
– 40Gbps 與 PCIe Gen3；
– 支援 DisplayPort 1.4；
– USB-C 連接埠相容（選項）；
新聞稿中提到 2018 年可以在市場上見到採用 JHL7x40 系列 Thunderbolt 3 晶片的裝置。
