也許後續 Intel 不會那麼常更換處理器腳位…

不同於 AMD AM4 或者是 AM5 腳位的做法,Intel 方面就常因為世代更替而更換處理器腳位。但相關做法在 Nova Lake 之後將會有所改變。

在 Arrow Lake Refresh 推出前,Intel 副總裁兼總監理 Robert Hallock 在接受媒體 Club386 訪問時提到,未來 Intel 處理器腳位做法將如同 AMD AM4 般,將會如同 AMD AM4 腳位那般,有著相當長的壽命,而使用者也可以在同一個平台使用更多世代的 Intel 處理器。

In a recent interview with Club386, we asked Intel’s VP and GM of its enthusiast channel, Robert Hallock, whether he saw a future where Intel sockets support more CPU generations. “I do. That’s it – I do,” was the simple reply.

“One thing I really would like users to understand,” answered Hallock, “is that I, my team, we are ourselves, first and foremost, PC builders and enthusiasts. Every single one of us has built their own PC, games on that PC. That was not always the case at Intel.”

“But there is a new product management team; there is a new business team; there is a new marketing team; there is a new engineering team for these gaming CPUs. And we are not ignorant of the feedback that comes in about our products. We watch it very closely… some of that feedback we can act on in a six-month time span, a year-long time span, a three-year time span. But we are listening, and that feedback matters quite a lot. It absolutely influences how we think about our products and our roadmap.”

AMD AM4 腳位共計支援 Zen、Zen+、Zen 2、Zen 3 處理器架構的系列處理器。

現行的 Intel Core Ultra 200S 系列處理器,代號為 2024 年推出的 Arrow Lake-S 與 2026 年即將上市的 Arrow Lake-S Refresh,皆為 LGA 1851 腳位與 Intel 800 系列晶片組。Arrow Lake 的 LGA 1851 腳位推出之前,Intel 則是有 Alder Lake、Raptor Lake 以及 Raptor Lake Refresh 使用的 LGA 1700 腳位與 Intel 600 和 700 系列晶片組。

如果 Nova Lake 推出之後,真如 Robert Hallock 所述,LGA 1954 腳位將維持多年,那意味著後續的 Razer Lake、Titan Lake 以及 Hammer Lake 都有望在 LGA 1951 腳位的使用名單中。

當然,這都只是媒體根據採訪內容進行的臆測,是否真如此還有待更多消息來確認。
