看起來確認 Intel 會繼續在 14nm 製程打轉好一陣子。
Intel 在台灣時間 4 月 27 日公佈 2018 財政年度第一季的財務報告，而在與分析師的電話會議中，確認了 2018 下半年度的產品資訊。其實在這之前，我們已經確定 Intel 會推出 Cannon Lake、Whiskey Lake 以及 Cascade Lake 等平台，但多平台同時存在，以及製程交錯的情況，這些資訊其實讓我們有點暈頭轉向。
We have leadership products on the roadmap that continue to take advantage of 14-nanometer, with Whiskey Lake for clients and Cascade Lake for the data center coming later this year.
Moore’s Law is essential to our strategy and our product leadership. It continues to create significant value for Intel and our customers. While it’s taking longer and costing more to deliver and yield advanced process technologies, we are able to optimize our process and products within the node to deliver meaningful performance improvements.
現在可以確定，消費性產品的 Whiskey Lake 平台與 Data Center 的 Cascade Lake 都會維持在 14nm 製程；換句話說，Cannon Lake 會是 Intel 第一個 10nm 製程的產品。
Whiskey Lake 平台應該是 Coffee Lake-U 搭配 Cannon Lake PCH，但 TDP 部分下降至 15W。目前 Coffee Lake-U 處理器為「4 + GT3e」配置，其 TDP 為 28W，Whiskey Lake-U 處理器的話則是「4 + GT2」配置，所以 TDP 部分能從 28W 下調至 15W。
此外，Intel 仍堅持 Moore’s Law 能提升公司競爭力，並讓產品維持在領導地位。
