美國電信商 Verizon 版本的 Xperia Z4v 最後選擇不販售。
在台灣推出 Xperia Z3+ 同時，美國電信商宣佈會在夏天推出擁有無線充電功能的 Xperia Z4v，但該裝置一直未有出貨消息。
現在確定，這款智慧型手機已經取消在美販售計畫。

Xperia Z4v 與 Xperia Z5 相同，為 Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 處理器。
比較不同的地方在於 Xperia Z4v 這款 5.2 吋裝置解析度為 2560 x 1440，同時還有加入無線充電功能。
對於 Sony 美國市場來說，Xperia Z4v 是否推出市場，幾乎不會有太大的影響。Verizon 目前也沒有引進 Xperia Z5 系列智慧型手機的消息。
